On the day of your surgery, we’ll review the surgical plan with you once more and answer any remaining questions you might have. We then administer your anesthesia and start the procedure. Your surgeon will make the necessary incisions, remove excess skin, and reposition tissues as necessary. This process takes about 3 hours.
Afterwards, we’ll review your post-care instructions with you once more before you leave to finish recovering at home. You should arrange for someone to drive you home in advance. You can expect about 2 weeks of downtime while the incisions heal and any swelling subsides. After 4 to 6 weeks, most patients have completely recovered.
